The leno mesh bag built for the machine
The automatic bag keeps the full leno mono-raffia weave of Textil Villa de Pego's flagship bag — HDPE monofilament warp and polypropylene raffia weft — and adds a mouth reinforced with extruded plastic. That reinforcement gives the mouth the rigidity and smooth surface the bagging machine needs to grip the bag and open it by suction cups. The result is a pack that ventilates and displays your brand like the classic mesh bag, but engineered to run on an automatic filling line without stoppages.

The open structure of the leno weave keeps air moving around the product at all times. That ventilation prevents the internal condensation that accelerates mould and rot during transport and storage.
Reusable
Made from tough leno fabric, automatic bags withstand several cycles of use without losing shape or strength. A more sustainable, more economical packaging option than single-use formats.
100% recyclable
The bag is made from polyolefins (HDPE and polypropylene) recoverable at end of life through plastic recycling channels. The mouth reinforcement belongs to the same material group, with no blends to complicate recovery.
Strong
The leno weave stops tears from spreading: if one thread gives way, the weft does not unravel in a chain. The bag withstands the weight, edges and abrasion typical of fruit and vegetable logistics.
Reinforced mouth for suction-cup pick-up
The mouth carries an extruded-plastic reinforcement that gives it rigidity and a smooth, even surface. It is where the bagging machine grips the bag and opens it with its suction cups, cycle after cycle, without the mesh deforming or slipping.

All automatic bags can be manufactured with a personalised brand band printed around the body of the bag.
The brand band is a printed strip that wraps around the body of the bag carrying the logo, trade name and details of the grower or cooperative. It reinforces brand identity at the point of sale without interfering with the reinforced area the suction cups grip.

Closures available
Once filled, the automatic bag can be closed with three different systems. The choice of closure is independent of the reinforced mouth, which is where the machine grips the bag.
Drawstring closure (self-closing cord)
A raffia cord built into the mouth of the bag. Pull both ends and the bag closes while forming two carry handles. The most practical closure for retail and delivery.
Sewn closure
The mouth of the bag is machine-sewn shut once filled. A firm, permanent closure for bulk transport and storage where reopening is not required.
Open mouth (manual closure)
A bag with no built-in closure. The customer seals the mouth by hand as needed: with a knot, cord, cable tie or staple. The most flexible option for filling on the farm.

What is the automatic bag?

How is it different from the Wicket Baxmatic bag?
Both are mesh bags for automatic packing, but they differ in how the machine holds them. The automatic bag has a mouth reinforced with extruded plastic, and the bagging machine picks it up and opens it by suction cups. The Wicket Baxmatic bag has a laminated, perforated mouth and is stacked on a wicket wire. Choose the format that matches your packing line's system.
How does the machine hold the bag?
The bagging machine applies its suction cups to the bag's reinforced mouth. The extruded-plastic reinforcement gives that area the rigidity and smooth surface that let the cups grip firmly, hold the bag and open it for filling, cycle after cycle, without the mesh deforming.

Is it compatible with any automatic packing line?

Which closures does the automatic bag offer?

Does the bag include UV stabilisation?
UV stabilisation is available on request; it is not standard. If the bags will face prolonged sun exposure, mention it when requesting a quote and we will manufacture your reference with UV treatment.
